A PR package gets opened on camera. Sometimes live, sometimes in a three-minute video watched by people you’d never reach with an ad. Makeup PR boxes are made for beauty brands, indie cosmetic lines and agencies sending launch kits to creators, editors and stockists, and they have to look right from the first frame.
They also have to arrive in one piece. A shattered pressed powder on camera is not the reveal anyone wants. Two jobs, then. Look gorgeous under a ring light, and also stop the eyeshadow pans and glosses and that glass foundation bottle from smacking into each other every time the van hits a pothole.
Every launch is a different mix. A lip collection might be six tubes and a liner. Face launch? Could be a palette and a foundation, plus a sponge, a brush. Whatever it is, we cut the insert around your actual lineup with a pocket for each piece, and when the lid comes up it’s all sitting in a neat row instead of piled in a corner.
Think about the video, too, because most creators shoot straight down from above, so we’d put the hero product smack in the middle with the little stuff around it and a slot for your note, and honestly the shot sort of frames itself.
A printed corrugated mailer is the workhorse. It ships on its own, keeps costs sensible for a big send list, and you can print the inside lid with a launch message. E-flute keeps it light and gives a clean print surface.
Rigid with a magnetic lid is the heavy, special one. Brands save it for the big creators and press editors, and usually drop it in a plain shipper first so it shows up without a scratch. Soft-touch looks rich in your hand. On camera? Can go a bit flat, so we’d add a spot UV or foil logo to give the lens something to grab. Color launch, we’d say holographic foil, people go nuts for it. Gloss can glare under a ring light. That’s worth knowing before you choose.
Inside print is where you can be playful, with shade names on the insert, a QR code to the launch page, or a thank-you line. The design team lays it all out at no extra cost and checks files for print issues. PR kits usually have a hard date, so work backwards. Standard production is 10 to 12 business days after you approve the proof, and rush production is available on request. Allow time for a physical sample if the insert has to fit products you haven’t finished yet (it happens more than you’d think), since bottle shapes can shift between prototype and final.

Most of the time. Rigid wraps pick up scuffs on the road, so brands tend to slip them into a plain mailer. Printed corrugated mailers can ship on their own.
