Custom Packaging Boxes In Colorado

Everything You Need to Know About Ordering Custom Packaging Boxes in Colorado

Run a business in Colorado and you already know local counts for something. Maybe you ship climbing gear out of Boulder, maybe it’s small-batch coffee from a Denver roastery. Either way the box is the first thing your customer actually touches.

Lots of you have been calling about custom printed boxes lately. Same handful of questions, mostly! So we wrote them down, with the answers we’d give you over the phone.

Q: Why should I choose a Colorado-based packaging provider?

Local is nice. The real perk? Somebody answers. We’ve got offices in Denver and Boulder, so ordering custom packaging boxes in Colorado from us means a Friday 4pm panic about a typo on the lid gets sorted that day, not Monday. Ground shipping is free anywhere in the USA anyway, so Aurora, Fort Collins, wherever your stock sits.

Q: What are the most popular box styles for USA businesses in 2026?

Unboxing is still the big one. Here’s what we print most:

  • Custom mailer boxes for online shops and subscription brands, mostly in E-flute with print inside the lid.
  • Corrugated shipping boxes when the product is heavy or has to cross the country in the back of a truck.
  • Luxury rigid boxes for jewelry, high-end skincare, sometimes headphones or a watch.
  • Plain kraft custom product boxes with a one-color logo. Colorado brands love these, and kraft goes in the recycling bin with no fuss.

Q: Is eco-friendly packaging actually worth it?

For most of our local clients, yes. People here ask about sustainable packaging constantly. We print with soy-based and water-based inks, and most of our kraft and corrugated boxes can be recycled, which customers tend to notice (some of them will email you about it, in a good way).

Q: Can I get custom boxes with my logo in small quantities?

Yep. Bigger wholesale runs bring the price per box down, but you don’t have to start there, minimums are low, often around 50 boxes depending on the style. That’s handy for a new shop in Colorado Springs that doesn’t have a warehouse yet, just a spare room. Digital printing keeps short runs looking sharp.

Q: How long does it usually take to get my order?

Ten to 12 business days after proof approval, for most custom printed packaging. Launch date sooner than that? Ask about rush, early if you can. And stare at that digital proof a while before you okay it (logo size on the lid is the thing folks regret most, every time).

Q: How do I make my brand stand out on the shelf?

Brown and blank gets ignored. What we’d try instead:

  • Foil or spot UV on just the logo. Tilt the box under store lights and it flashes at you.
  • Printing inside the box. Cheap to add, and yeah, people post photos of it.
  • An insert, cardboard or foam. Nothing rattles and the lid opens on a neat little scene instead of a jumble.

FAQ: Understanding the Tech Specs

Q: What does “pt” mean in packaging? It’s short for points. One point is 0.001 inches, so a 24pt board is 0.024 inches thick, and a bigger number just means stiffer card. For retail boxes in the USA, most brands land around 16pt or 18pt.

Q: Which “flute” should I choose for shipping from Colorado? Mailing stuff? E-flute, usually. It’s thin enough to print nicely and still takes a beating in a delivery van. Something heavy, say over 10 lbs, we’d bump you to B-flute.

Q: Does the material affect the print quality? It does. White SBS board shows color truest, which is why we push it for bright cosmetic packaging. Kraft soaks ink in a little and everything comes out muted and earthy, a look plenty of brands in Denver and Boulder go for on purpose.
