Got a skincare trio or a perfume set to box? We build thick rigid gift boxes, wrap them in printed or textured paper, and cut an insert so each bottle or jar gets its own little bed. Magnetic, lift-off lid or drawer, then foil, embossing or soft-touch on top.
Your time is very important to us so we have kept it short.
Gift sets are where beauty brands go big. A holiday skincare trio, say, or a full-size fragrance with matching lotion, or a launch kit with five lip shades lined up, and that’s when luxury rigid cosmetic gift boxes earn their keep, because the box has to feel worth the price and then hang around on a vanity for a year after the products are gone.
Who orders? Beauty brands, spas, department store gift programs, corporate buyers. In every case the box is pretty much part of the gift.
It starts as thick chipboard. We cut and form that into a base and a lid, then wrap it in printed or specialty paper, and since it doesn’t fold flat it feels solid the second you pick it up, square corners, a lid that slides on with a little resistance, and that weight in your hand that people just read as “expensive”.
Styles? Lift-off lid, a book-style box with a magnetic flap, or a drawer sliding out of a sleeve. For beauty the magnetic one wins most of the time, honestly because the open-and-snap is so satisfying, and our magnetic closure boxes show that style by itself.
Beauty sets mix shapes, so the insert carries most of the protection. Round pocket for a jar. Long one for a serum dropper. A flat recess for the palette, each cut to that product’s exact size, and then it’s covered foam if you want luxury and grip, or card if you’d rather keep it light and fully recyclable.
Here’s a mistake we see a lot.
A brand designs the insert around prototype bottles, then the final glass shows up a couple of millimeters taller and the lid won’t shut, so please, order a physical sample with your production containers before the bulk run (it saves a lot of grief).
If we had to pick one finish for luxury beauty it’d be soft-touch, since you’ll literally see people at a counter stroking the lid without noticing they’re doing it. Rose-toned foil on the logo is lovely. A debossed monogram too. Holographic? Save that for color cosmetics and launch sets, it’s a bit loud for a calm skincare brand.
Honestly the wrap paper changes the whole box. Want photos or a busy pattern all over it? That needs smooth printed paper, but a plain linen paper in navy or blush with one foil logo looks quietly classic, and a lot of our skincare people end up there. Wrap layout and foil placement are on us, no extra cost, and we check your files before anything prints.
One downside. These arrive built, not flat, so a pallet of them takes up a real chunk of your stockroom, and if one goes in the mail naked the corners come back scuffed. Selling online? Put the gift box inside a plain corrugated shipper, and our post on corrugated packaging for cosmetic brands covers how to pair them. Influencer sends are a bit different, see our makeup PR boxes.
Minimums are low, often around 50 boxes depending on the style, and the price per box falls as quantity goes up. You get a digital proof, a physical sample if you ask, and standard production of 10 to 12 business days after approval with free ground shipping across the USA. Holiday sets? Plan early and ask about rush. More in our luxury and rigid packaging range.
Magnetic, usually, it opens wide and shows off the whole set. For long narrow sets like brushes or lip kits we’d go drawer.
Covered foam grips glass better and feels nicer. Card is lighter and easier to recycle, fine for lighter items.
Standard ones ship assembled. Short on storage? Ask about collapsible rigid styles that fold flat and snap into shape.
Plenty of customers order this alongside custom lip gloss boxes, custom cream boxes, custom cosmetic boxes and custom serum boxes. More styles are in cosmetic boxes, and cosmetic box sizes covers the common sizes.
