Folding and rigid boxes for lipstick, foundation, palettes, brushes and makeup kits. We print your brand colors and the ingredient panels on SBS board (sharp color), and foil, spot UV or soft-touch if you want them. Low minimums, free design help, free US shipping.
Your time is very important to us so we have kept it short.
Makeup sells on color. If your blush is a dusty rose and the carton prints salmon, people notice, they really do, so the first thing we talk through on custom printed makeup packaging boxes is how your brand colors and shades are going to look on actual board, under store lights, and through somebody’s phone camera.
Our beauty clients? Indie brands, makeup artists starting their own lines, salons with private label, a few cosmetic companies that are growing fast. One needs a single lipstick carton. The next wants a whole family of boxes, lip gloss right up to a twelve pan palette.
Every product has its quirks. Lipsticks and mascaras go in slim tall tuck boxes, often with an insert so the tube doesn’t rattle. Foundation and serum in glass want a snug fit and a little support at the base. And palettes are heavier than they look (people always underestimate this), so they need flat boxes or sleeves in a board with some stiffness to it.
Kits and holiday sets are a whole other job. Several items in one box, each in its own cutout, and there we’d usually go tray insert or a magnetic rigid box. Planning sizes for a full line? Our cosmetic box sizes guide helps.
SBS paperboard is the default. Bright white, smooth, colors and small type come out clean on it. Darker brands sometimes go black or colored board with foil, which can look stunning, and rigid board is the one for PR boxes and premium sets.
Got exact brand colors? Send Pantone references and we’ll match as close as the board lets us, though coated and uncoated finishes nudge color a bit either way, so honestly we’d ask for a physical sample before the bulk run and look at it under your own lights, which beats any screen.
Beauty shoppers touch everything.
They pick the box up, turn it over, read the back, run a thumb across it, and soft-touch lamination is the finish a lot of brands love for exactly that velvety feel. Spot UV gives a logo some shine on matte. We’d use gold, silver or holographic foil on anything from lip products to highlighters, and embossing gives a logo depth you can actually feel.
Leave room for the boring stuff too. Ingredients, net weight, directions, barcode, all of it has to be readable without crowding the front, and we’ll help you lay it out. Our designers set up the dieline and artwork for free, check your files for print issues, and send a digital proof before production.
Good makeup ranges look like a family. Same fonts, same finish, one accent color per product type. Adding lipsticks or eye shadows later? Our lipstick boxes and eye shadow boxes pages show how each format works, and there’s more in our cosmetic boxes range.
Minimums are low, often around 50 boxes depending on the style, and the price per box drops as quantity goes up. Standard production is 10 to 12 business days after proof approval, rush on request, ground shipping free across the USA. Send us your product list and we’ll quote the range.
As close as the board and finish allow. A physical sample is the surest way to check before the full run.
Not always. A simple one stops the rattle, though, and keeps the cap from working loose in transit.
Sometimes, yes. A mascara and an eyeliner of similar size can often share one box with different artwork, which saves you money.
Brands ordering these often look at custom mascara boxes, custom press on nail boxes, custom printed lip balm packaging boxes wholesale and custom printed hair extension packaging boxes as well. You can see the full range in cosmetic boxes, and our guide to cosmetic box sizes helps with sizing.
