Custom Christmas Cookie Boxes

Holiday cookie boxes printed with your bakery’s festive design, sized for a half dozen, a dozen or a mixed gift tin’s worth. Add dividers so gingerbread doesn’t crush sugar cookies, a window to show off the icing and a ribbon or tie for gifting.

Description

December is cookie month. Bakeries that sell a few dozen a week in October suddenly have trays of gingerbread men, sugar cookies, shortbread and crinkles going out the door every hour. Custom Christmas cookie boxes give all that a home: a festive printed box, sized right, with your name on it when it gets handed to someone’s aunt across the table.

Home bakers, cookie shops, cafés and corporate gift buyers all order these. The problems come up every year. Frosted cookies stick to each other, delicate ones crumble under heavy ones, and the plain white box that worked fine for birthday orders looks a bit flat next to everyone else’s holiday packaging.

Custom Christmas Cookie Boxes Sized for Gifting

Cookie boxes are usually sized by count. A half dozen box is a nice stocking stuffer, a dozen is the classic gift, and a larger mixed tray with dividers suits offices and family gatherings. Our cookie box sizes guide shows how many cookies of different diameters fit in common boxes.

Thickness matters too. Thin sugar cookies stack fine, but fat, chewy cookies or anything with royal icing should lie flat in a single layer. Stack iced cookies and the top one leaves marks on the bottom one, and it’s always the one with the nicest piping.

Dividers, Liners and Keeping Cookies Fresh

If you only add one extra, make it a divider. Shortbread crumbles, gingerbread is sticky, and the minute somebody tips the box on a car seat everything slides into one sad heap in the corner unless there’s a divided insert holding each cookie in its spot. Butter’s the other thing. A sheet of glassine or wax paper on the base and it won’t soak into the board.

Freshness? The box can only help so much, to be fair. Let them cool all the way before they go in, because warm cookies steam up the inside and go soft by morning, and for anything traveling across the country we’d bag them, seal it, and put the cookie box inside a plain mailer.

Festive Designs That Still Look Like You

Every December the shelves fill up with red and green boxes with a snowflake on them. Nothing wrong with that! We just think you should start from your own colors and sprinkle the holiday stuff on top (a winter pattern maybe, or one small foil star, or a scribbly “Merry Christmas”) so people can still tell whose cookies they are.

Our favorite combo is gold foil on a deep green or burgundy box. Add a lid window and nobody has to open it to see the piping. And kraft with red or white ink has that homemade, farmhouse kind of look. If you want other holiday items, our Christmas treat boxes come in matching styles, and our everyday cookie boxes with logo can carry your branding the rest of the year.

Ordering Holiday Cookie Packaging in Time

Plan early. Production is usually 10 to 12 business days after you approve the proof, and the weeks before Christmas get busy everywhere, so ordering in October or early November takes the stress out. Rush production is available on request if you’re running late.

Custom Christmas cookie boxes come with low minimums, often around 50 boxes depending on the style, and the price per box drops as you order more. Our team lays out your festive design for free, checks the artwork, and sends a digital proof, with a physical sample available on request. Ground shipping in the USA is free. Christmas Cookie Box FAQs

How many cookies fit in a standard Christmas cookie box?

It depends on cookie size, but most gift boxes are planned for 6 or 12 average cookies in a single layer. We size the box around your cookie.

Can I stack iced cookies in one box?

It’s best not to. Royal icing can scuff or stick, so iced cookies look better in a single layer or with a liner between layers.

When should I order Christmas cookie boxes?

Ideally by early November. That leaves time for proofing, production and shipping before the December rush.
