Boxes for essential oil bottles from 5 ml up to 30 ml, one bottle or a whole set, with inserts that keep the glass and dropper standing. We print on SBS, kraft or rigid board, matte or soft-touch or foil, with low minimums, free design help and free US ground shipping.
Your time is very important to us so we have kept it short.
Small amber bottle, thin glass, a dropper cap that works loose if it gets knocked around. Then there’s the oil, which will happily soak into any paper it touches. So essential oil packaging boxes are about two things for us, honestly: that bottle stays upright and doesn’t budge, and the box looks like something from a spa shelf rather than a back stockroom.
Our customers? Aromatherapy brands, massage therapists who bottle their own blends, a lot of wellness shops, and people making starter kits as gifts. Pretty much all of them sell more than one bottle size. So the boxes need to look like one family, which takes a bit of planning up front.
Most of what we see is 5, 10, 15 or 30 ml, round, in amber or cobalt glass, and each size gets its own slim tuck end carton sized with the cap or dropper on. Please measure with the dropper fitted! A glass dropper with a rubber bulb stands a lot taller than a plain cap, so if you sell both, that’s two box heights.
Roller bottles for diluted blends? Taller and skinnier again. Our cosmetic box sizes guide lists the usual dimensions in this range, handy to cross-check before you send us numbers.
Leaks start sideways.
When a bottle tips over inside the box the weight sits on the dropper, and that’s when oil creeps out, so we cut a card insert with a round hole that grabs the shoulder and keeps it standing, a simple collar for one bottle, or a divided insert for a gift set of six or twelve (a set of four, too, if that’s your thing) so the glass never clinks together.
Rigid gift sets often get foam with cut-outs, it feels nice when the lid comes off. Is there a diffuser in the kit, or a carrier oil bottle? Tell us everything going in up front, because that odd piece needs its own bigger cavity. Tall droppers specifically, our dropper bottle boxes are built the same way.
There’s a surprising amount of tiny text per oil. Common name, botanical name, size, directions, cautions, often where it’s from too. We’d put the oil name big on the front with the botanical name right under, then everything else around the sides and back. Twenty oils in the range? Give each a color band or little icon so people find theirs on a shelf fast.
Shop floor tip. Oily fingers during packing leave marks on uncoated board, and matte lamination stops that while still looking natural. Soft-touch feels lovely. Luxury blend? Dark box, gold foil, that’s our vote. Organic brands we’d put on kraft with a single ink, and all our inks are soy or water based anyway.
Dieline and layout for each SKU cost nothing extra, and we check your files for small type that won’t print clean. You approve a digital proof, and a physical sample is there if you ask. Minimums are low, often around 50 boxes depending on the style. Production is 10 to 12 business days after approval, and ground shipping across the USA is free. Usually, yeah, the dropper adds height. Some brands get one taller box and use an insert to lift the shorter bottle.
We’d do a divided card insert with a round cut-out per bottle, and it’s recyclable. Foam if it’s a rigid gift set.
On uncoated board, yes, it can. That’s why we laminate, matte or gloss, and the oil just sits on top where you can wipe it.
Plenty of customers order this alongside custom hair color boxes, custom lotion boxes packaging, custom printed cream packaging boxes and custom lipstick boxes. More styles are in cosmetic boxes.
