Custom printed eyeliner packaging boxes for pencils and liquid pens, felt tips too, and those little gel pots. We cut slim tuck end cartons to the length of your liner and print the shade and finish right on the front. Selling a gel jar with a brush? We’d add an insert for that.
Your time is very important to us so we have kept it short.
Nobody browses for eyeliner. People walk up already knowing they want the waterproof black felt tip, grab it, and go, so our custom printed eyeliner packaging boxes need to say exactly that in about one glance (not the brown gel, not the pencil) and also keep a skinny pen from snapping or drying out on the way to the shop.
Mostly indie makeup brands buy these from us, plus private label lines and a few beauty boutiques. They tend to launch with one shade, maybe two. A year later it’s eight, so we set the design up to stretch.
How long is your pen with the cap on? Usually it’s 5 to 6 inches for pencils and liquid pens, and we cut a narrow tuck end carton just a hair longer than that so it doesn’t rattle. Felt tips are about the same length but chunkier at the cap. Measure the fattest bit, not the barrel.
Gel liner, though, is its own thing.
It’s a little pot, usually with an angled brush riding along, so it needs a short wide box and a two-section insert, because without one the brush slides about and the bristles get bent, and honestly a splayed liner brush goes straight in the bin. Our mascara boxes use a similar long slim build if you’re boxing both.
What’s the shopper looking for on the front? Color first, then the tip, then whether it’s waterproof, so we’d make those big and let your brand name sit up top, a bit smaller. The shade name sells it, to be fair. Ingredients and how to use it can live on the back and sides where people look later.
If your cap color matches the shade, a tiny window showing it is a cute trick. Black only line? Skip the window and print a swatch on the front instead, the box stays stiffer that way.
A box this narrow doesn’t have room for five effects, so we’d pick one and do it well. Gold or silver foil on the logo is the safe classic, holographic suits the glittery playful brands, and soft-touch is kind of magic here because it makes an inexpensive pen feel a lot pricier when someone picks it up at the counter. Embossing? It can work, it just needs a slightly wider panel to show up.
We set up the dieline and your artwork free, check the files for print problems, and send you a digital proof. More styles live in our cosmetic boxes range, and the custom printed makeup packaging boxes page covers palettes and kits.
You can start with often around 50 boxes depending on the style, and the per box price drops as you go up. Our tip is one base design with only the shade band changing per color, so all of them share the same setup. Once the proof’s approved, give it 10 to 12 business days, and ground shipping anywhere in the USA is free.
Shipping makeup online? Our makeup shipping boxes guide shows how to pack cartons inside mailers so the corners don’t get crushed.
Only if they’re really close in size. Two boxes look neater, and it barely costs more.
Usually no. If the carton’s cut snug to the pen it holds just fine, and we save inserts for gel pots and sets.
We can, as long as the type stays readable. If something’s too tiny we’ll tell you at proof stage.
