Corrugated cartons that ship closed and turn into a printed counter or shelf display once the perforated panel is pulled off. Good for lip balm, snack bars, gummies and other small items that sell in multiples from a tray near the till.
Your time is very important to us so we have kept it short.
Store staff have very little time to set up your product. If they have to cut open a carton, pull out 24 items and arrange them by hand, they might just leave the box in the back room. Tear away display boxes fix that. The carton ships sealed like any other box, then a perforated panel rips off along a dotted line and what’s left is a ready-made display tray with your branding on it.
They’re a favorite for snack brands, supplement makers, lip balm and cosmetics lines, and anyone selling small impulse items near a checkout. You get one SKU that works as a shipper and a display, and the retailer gets a product they can put out in about ten seconds.
The trick is the perforation. We die-cut a line of small cuts across the front and sides of the box, leaving tiny bridges of board between them. Those bridges keep the box strong in transit. When someone pulls the tab, the bridges snap in sequence and the top panel comes away in one piece.
Getting that balance right takes some care. Too few bridges and the box can split open in a delivery truck. Too many and the panel tears unevenly, leaving a ragged edge on the display. We set the cut pattern based on the board thickness and how heavy your product is. Our article on what a perforated display box is goes into the mechanics.
Almost all tear away displays are corrugated. E-flute is the usual choice for small items like lip balm and candy bars, because it prints cleanly and the perforations tear neatly. For heavier items (jars, bottles, cans) B-flute holds the weight better, though the tear line is a little rougher.
White corrugated gives you the brightest print. Kraft looks natural and suits organic and handmade brands. Either way, the outer display face is printed full color, so the box is advertising your product while it sits on the counter. You can also print the inside back panel, which becomes the backdrop once the front is torn away.
Plan the artwork for two states, closed and open. Closed, the box needs a clear product name and a “tear here” cue for staff. Open, the remaining back panel and sides carry your logo and a short message shoppers can read from a few feet away.

Not if it’s set up properly for your product weight. We’d recommend testing a physical sample, filled with real product, before the bulk order.
Lighter displays often ship on their own. Heavier ones, or anything going through a parcel network, are safer packed several to a plain outer carton.
Standard production is 10 to 12 business days after you approve the proof. Rush options are available on request, and ground shipping is free anywhere in the USA.
Plenty of customers order this alongside pharmaceutical display boxes, cosmetic display boxes, custom counter display boxes and custom display boxes. More styles are in display packaging, and types of display packaging covers the common sizes.
