Custom Christmas paper bags for holiday shoppers, bakery orders and gift wrap stations, printed with your logo and some festive artwork on kraft or white paper. Pick twisted, flat or ribbon handles and a size that fits whatever sells best, and get them in before the December rush.
Your time is very important to us so we have kept it short.
Your bag gets seen more in December than the rest of the year put together, honestly, because it’s carried round the mall, parked under a tree, reused for leftovers on the 26th and handed on to an aunt. Custom Christmas paper bags turn all that into free advertising. And your staff stop wrapping every single gift at the till.
Gift shops and boutiques order them, so do bakeries, chocolatiers, florists and the odd corporate gifting team. Some go all in on a festive design. Others keep their normal brand bag and just add a red band or a few snowflakes for the season.
Kraft is what most people pick. It’s strong, it looks warm with red and green on it, and most kraft bags are recyclable, which shoppers seem to notice more at Christmas than any other time of year. Busy or photo-heavy artwork? Go white, the colors come out brighter.
Handles matter more than you’d think. Twisted paper ones are cheap and tough, flat paper ones fold away neatly in a drawer, and ribbon looks the most like a present, so a lot of brands put ribbon on the small bags for jewelry and chocolates. Carrying wine or a heavy gift basket? Ask for a reinforced base board. December shoppers aren’t gentle.
Candles, cosmetics, ornaments and chocolate boxes go in a small bag, clothes and books and gift sets in a medium, toys and baskets in a large, and to be fair most shops get by fine with two sizes and only add a third if the range is really all over the place. Lots of stocking stuffers? Add a small. A tiny gift rattling round in a big bag looks kind of lost.
Here’s what we tell people at the counter. Take your best-selling boxed gift and try it in the bag, in your hand, because if your Christmas gift boxes slide in with a finger’s width to spare the bag looks full and tidy, and if they only just squeeze in the sides split by lunchtime. Our post on kraft paper types explains how paper weight changes strength, if you’re curious.
On kraft we’d usually do one or two colors instead of full color, since the brown paper turns into part of the design. Red and white on kraft. Classic for a reason. Gold or silver foil on the logo adds some sparkle without going overboard, and on white paper you can go much further, full illustrations, patterns, photos, whatever you like.
Our design team sets up the layout and checks your artwork for print problems for free, then sends a digital proof. Production takes 10 to 12 business days after approval, so for December sales try to sign off the proof by early November. Running late? Rush is available. The full Christmas packaging range is here, and our year-round custom printed bags too.
You can, but we’d usually say don’t. Leave the year off and any leftovers work again next season.
One bottle, with a reinforced base and decent handles, is usually fine. Two or more and we’d go heavier paper with a smaller footprint.
It’s low, often around 50 bags depending on the style, and the price per bag drops as you order more. Ground shipping is free across the USA.
